The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit and loosely translates to mean "circle," no doubt because the circle's ancient symbolism of wholeness and connection.
Mandalas are ancient meditative images of interlocking geometric forms meant to express the interlocking nature of all of life.
They are in a sense spiritual maps with the purpose of helping you focus on what really matters.
The 'focus' energy of Mandalas have traditionally been symbols meant to convey God, or Love, or Peace, and the act of meditating on them or creating them is an act of communion in and of itself.
These magical and healing images have fascinated me for years and have become the perfect vehicle for me to express the complexity of Astrology.
Astrology can also be seen as a spiritual map, but instead of the destination being the complete understanding of God, it is a map to the complete understanding of yourself.
And if you go far enough down the rabbit whole, we find in the end it's two paths leading to the same light.
