The Importance of Playfully Making S**t Up

​Hey Old Souls, well as many of you know, I’ve been obsessively perfecting an Astrology  ​

Course for the past year and a half.  Year and a half!  

​It’s kind of insane to think of just how many iterations this course has gone through.  It's basically an entirely new course every few months. (So much screen time…)  And every time I think I’ve got it just right, a new student will come along who helps me see how it could be even better.  (Big thank you to all of my amazing students for all the wonderful feedback!) 

Which brings me to why I’m writing to you today...

I've FINALLY figured out how to, for real, teach how to ‘tell the story’ of (aka how to synthesize) the information in a Chart!!  After months of contemplation and trying things out, I think I’ve finally figured out a huge missing piece that was causing some of my students to struggle.  

And that missing piece was that most people don’t really know how to playfully make s**t up.

As a Gemini Ascendant, Pisces Sun and Moon, I had literally never considered that.

The ‘play’ of storytelling is such a hugely important factor in learning how to understand Astrology as being too ‘structured’ will stress you out as well as not bring about meaningful (or accurate) stories.  

An attitude of “I’m just making stuff up” about the whole thing, aka not taking it too seriously, oddly enough ENHANCES your ability to integrate it.

I say oddly because it sounds counter-intuitive, but really, if you think about it, OF COURSE not taking anything too seriously allows you to deepen your understanding of it.  

That’s the whole lesson with manifestation on any level - become ok with any possible outcome (don't take it too seriously), and then from that neutral state simply, clearly state your preference.  Then playfully, excitedly wait and watch what comes of it. 

(The 'death grip' approach to just about anything, surprise surprise, kills it).

So!  After playing with my classes more, I’ve discovered a few new synthesis methods that are now able to step-by-step guide you (read: give you permission) to relax into the ‘play’ of storytelling.  
 
They also now help you realize a point that I had always struggled to make with some students - that there is technically no 'one' answer to anything. (That is a very difficult thing to wrap your brain around if you’re like most people - a modern day, overworked perfectionist!)

There is no one answer, because there is no one among us who is exactly like anyone else!  And even each of us individually will change constantly depending on where we're at with things at any given moment. 

So how could there possibly be one 'right' answer when you take all that into account?

Everything has themes, yes, but people can take those themes and run in all different directions with them. 

The answers in Astrology, as well as many other things in life, are only ‘right’ in so far as they resonate with your personal filter of the world and your learned experiences. 

The other big shift I decided on will be in how I meet with students.  

For a bit here I've taught two separate astrology courses, one of them completely in person, and one of them completely online, and both had good points and bad points.  I had the idea to merge the two teaching styles a few weeks ago and the feedback so far has been fantastic! 

For this new course, each week you'll receive a class PDF to do on your own which you'll finish up before a weekly hour long 'check in' session for answering any of your questions and making sure it all sinks in.  

So you get the time and space to explore the topic, as well as the safety net of a weekly call so you never have to worry about ‘falling behind.’

And do you know what helped me realize all these oh-so-important missing pieces of the puzzle?

So, to conclude, after gathering all the best parts of each iteration and now with these new teaching methods added in, the outcome is something I’m so proud of I just want to share it with everyone!
