 Astrology is becoming more and more popular these days, but just because someone has read a few Sun Sign memes doesn’t mean that they're truly ready to call themselves an Astrologer (as I'm sure you know all too well). As someone who teaches Astrology, I’ve found a few tell-tale signs over the years for which of my students have what it takes. Below are my 9 Tells that you’re meant to be an Astrologer. Let’s see how you do! 1 - You are endlessly curious. You are obsessed with trying to figure out how you and others (and society at large) ‘work.’ You were that kid who drove your caretakers crazy by having to ask ‘But WHY?’ to every last thing. 2 - You think for yourself. You never take anything at face value, and are always searching for hidden meanings and deeper truths that lie behind the surface of EVERYTHING. To you nothing is as it seems, and you are willing to ‘go against the group’ in order to seek out the truth. You don’t follow others blindly, and are always open to new and different possibilities and explanations for things. 3 - You are a Pattern Seeker. Deep down, you have a feeling that everything fits into some sort of beautiful pattern, and you feel a strong inner drive and ‘mission’ to find that pattern and put all the pieces of life together into one cohesive whole. You are always seeking the ‘Bigger Picture.’ 4 - People have told you that you’re a good storyteller. The biggest trait of a compelling storyteller is someone who can take seemingly unrelated pieces of information and wind them all together in a way that takes you on a journey. Your audience is rapt in attention as you slowly and beautifully introduce the characters, flesh them out, and surprise them with insightful Ah Ha moments that they didn’t see coming, but make perfect sense. You can see and quickly understand the meaning and patterns behind things, and are able to express it all in a creative and compelling way. 5 - You are obsessed with becoming ‘whole.’ Shadow Work is not just a passing interest for you, it’s an all out obsession. You are on an all out mission to integrate your Soul back into oneness, and you know that requires far more than just fluffy bunny spirituality. You are just as comfortable diving into the depths of your Soul to comfort and heal old trauma, as you are with looking forward to our collective ascension. You know that ‘Non-dualism’ has nothing to do with neutrality, and everything to do with making peace with the good, the bad and the ugly alike. 6 - You feel a deep call to help people reconnect with their TRUE SELF. You are a natural at helping people see ‘why’ things happen in their life, and your friends and family often tell you that you make them feel seen and understood. You are probably the ‘therapist’ in your friend group, and folks often come to you when they need help. You feel a deep call to be of service, so love helping them (but, probably could use a few more boundaries around it). You are an Old Soul, and so effortlessly see the cages younger Souls have ensnared themselves in, and have compassion for their predicaments (as you’ve been there too). 7 - You're the most logical person in your Coven (or the most spiritual person in your calculus class). You never quite understood the whole ‘left brained vs right brained’ dichotomy between people, because for you, both halves are equally strong. You see the magic in research, and the logic in mysticism. For you, spirituality that’s not backed up by logic is just lazy. Both the brain and the heart are your guides in this life. 8 - You are secretly (or not so secretly) a total nerd. The thought of spending your evening curled up with your most recently acquired medieval philosophy or depth psychology book excites you almost as much as a new lover (because let’s be honest, your main love is and always will be books). Your love of research borders on an obsession, and it’s very easy for you to get so wrapped up in your studies that you forget to eat. You have an absolutely unquenchable thirst for knowledge. 9 - To you, there is nothing more beautiful than a dark, star-filled sky. The stars endlessly fascinate you, and you’ve always felt a deep sense of awe looking up at them. To you, the night sky is your sacred house of worship. Did you resonate with 8 or more of the above?
