How Projection REALLY Works

Hey Old Souls, 

I had a giant epiphany the other day that totally made the whole 'projection' mechanism make sense - and wanted to share the insight with you.

For those that have been on the healing / shadow work path for a while now, you'll recognize the term projection, but for those new to it...

Projection is a coping mechanism we all subconsciously do.  How it's commonly known to work goes like this:

​I don't want to feel (emotion - let's go with anger).  So since I have repressed this anger, then I tend to find everyone around me to be angry (I'm projecting my own anger out onto them).

And while this isn't exactly wrong, I now see that this is NOT the whole picture!
