How Astrology Keeps You Sane In Uncertain Times

The world's crazy out there, but it's times like these more than any other that I am grateful to know Astrology.

Why? 

Because Astrology gives meaning to even the most F#@*%! Up of events, and allows me to see the PURPOSE for why these things are happening.​

Astrology often gets clumped into the ridiculously simplistic 'What's your Sun Sign' or 'You have Saturn in your 12th House, sucks to be you' types of boxes.

And I hate that.

It would be like if someone took a quick look at your beloved, precious, endlessly complex and fascinating child and said 'nah, not interesting, they're just a [stereotype], and I don't like people like that.'

Would you feel like that person really understood your kid?  Of course not, and in fact it would probably make you want to smack them.

This my friends is how most people talk about my beloved, precious, endlessly complex and fascinating child - Astrology.

And it's crazy moments like the ones we're in now that I can't help but smirk that I get to be her friend and hear her wise counsel, while others who rejected her too quickly do not.

But all snarkiness aside, I am truly grateful to be able to see the world and all her wild and wooly ways through the filter of Astrology, because even in the HARDEST of times, Astrology is the one I turn to to soothe my Soul and make it all manageable again.

To me, there is no better therapy than Astrology.

Let me give you an example of how this works. 

Let's say that, just hypothetically, there is a powerful country that is going through massive upheaval and change (and an election), and from the outside it looks like it will go on forever and there's no hope and everything is going to shit. 

I know it's kind of a stretch, but just use your imagination.

Now let's imagine that we have our favorite child, Astrology, with us and are seeing the same events through her eyes now.  (I'm envisioning Astrology as a Luna Lovegood type character who sees the harsh truth in things, but stays lovingly detached from them).

Astrology holds our hand and says (in Luna Lovegood's voice), "Yes, I do see how it would look chaotic to you, but really that country is just going through its Pluto Return with Jupiter and Saturn conjuncting it.  And that election was never going to run smoothly, it happened the day Mercury went Direct, squaring that Capricorn party, and the Sun opposing Uranus.  It's all just helping that country get to its breaking point so real change can occur, nothing to get worked up over really."  (Happily skips away).

And then a comforting wave of understanding washes over you, and you continue watching the drama unfold, but this time not with anger and rage, but with hope and popcorn.

And to add to the amazing skills Astrology holds, she is able to offer this comfort not only through being able to predict the future, but also through being able to make sense of the past.

This is actually my favorite thing about Astrology.

To bring this loving, wise, comforting filter into your past pain and see what gifts it was trying to teach you - not in spite of those trials, but BECAUSE of them - is why I am so in love with Astrology.

To me (and many others) Astrology is just as much of a profound spiritual path leading your Soul back to wholeness as any religion, yoga, guru, or monastic life is.

And teaching others how to use Astrology for this deeply therapeutic and spiritual purpose that leads you back to wholeness is what I was put on this earth to do.

And I love every second of it.
